Super Foods Pregnant Women should consume for Healthy Pregnancy



For a healthy child, the mother needs to work on the right diet. Good food consumption, it will not just help good health of the mother, but also the unborn kid. According to Dr. Garima Tyagi, the leading gynecologist in Indirapuram, says you need to ensure that you eat the right food that gives all the nutrition and protein to the body and baby. Get the list of food from the nutritionist or gynecologist which you need to follow even after post-pregnancy.

There are some foods which are a complete no-no, but there are some which should be consumed. Let us now check superfoods you must consume during pregnancy-

1.       Going Green-
Consuming green vegetables is really important during pregnancy. Green vegetables offer a lot of nutrients which is really important for the body. Moreover, it offers a great number of minerals and vitamins. You can either have them raw or cooked. However, make sure you check with your doctor about the list of green vegetables you must have.

2.       Include Dairy-
Milk, cheese, and yogurt are the most important part of the diet. Make sure you need to consume pasteurized milk. Also, consume food that has enough dairy ingredients.

3.       Eat Nuts-
Nuts are really helpful for the growing baby. When it comes to nuts, you will have options like almonds, walnuts, and other items. You can also add them to your brunch or snacks. Also, you can roast them with salt and ghee to make it interesting.

4.       Consume Enough Proteins-
Having protein-rich food is really important to have a healthy pregnancy. Consume chicken, lean meat, fish, etc. that carry enough protein. If you are vegetarian, then you got options like pulses, cheese, cottage, etc.


The above-mentioned foods are really helpful for the pregnant woman to add in the diet. However, if you are suffering from health issues, then you need to be careful in consuming these foods. Do connect with nutritionist or gynecologist for further assistance.
